Marc Laredo concentrates his practice in business litigation and general business law.  Mr. Laredo represents clients in a wide array of business disputes, including contract cases, disagreements in closely-held corporations, business torts, non-competition agreements, government investigations, commercial landlord-tenant matters, and construction cases.  Mr. Laredo also serves as counsel to a number of businesses, advising them on issues such as the initial formation and maintenance of the business entity, contract and employment matters, and crisis situations.

Mr. Laredo’s current and former significant civic and professional experience includes the following: 

 ·   Editorial Board of the Massachusetts Law Review.

 ·   Chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service Committee and former Member of its Business Law, Civil Litigation and Criminal Justice Section Councils and its Multidisciplinary Practice Committee.

 ·   Former Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office.

·  Author, The Attorney-Client Privilege in the Business Context, Massachusetts Law Review, Spring 2003.

·  Author of articles published in Massachusetts CPA Review, Family Business, Banker and Tradesman, and American Medical News.

·  Speaker at continuing legal education programs.

·  Elected Member, Newton School Committee.

 Mr. Laredo is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  He lives in Newton with his wife Roberta and their three children, Joshua, Matthew and Emma.
