Gene A. Blumenreich has a general corporate practice, with particular emphasis in business formation, banking, finance, health care and software. He works closely with each client to understand their business and advise them and has more than forty years of experience representing corporate clients.

His banking experience includes his service as general counsel to four commercial banks and a cooperative bank. He has served as a director of two banks, an officer of a holding company, and served on the executive committee of a bank. He has also handled bank acquisitions and matters before the Banking Commission, FDIC, and Federal Reserve Board.

Mr. Blumenreich has represented and been active in many medical and charitable organizations. He was a trustee of New England Baptist Hospital. He was a member of the Advisory Council of the National Institute for Nursing Research and served on a task force for the Joint Commission (formerly the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations). As a community leader he has served as president of the Newton Wellesley Weston Mental Health and Retardation Area Board and of the League School of Boston for autistic children. He has also been chairman of the Ambulance Committee of the City of Newton and is currently a director at Temple Shalom.

On the tech side, he has represented computer manufacturers and software developers. His clients have included both companies that distribute software to the general public as well as companies that focus on particular industries or specialized areas.

Mr. Blumenreich received a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and a B.A, with honors, from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He lives in Cambridge.
